Our Fees
At Bickerstaffs’ we use fixed fees for nearly all the work we complete.
This enables our clients to have peace of mind knowing that the services to be completed have been agreed in advance and that there will be no surprise invoices.
Our fees include all email and telephone support because we want to encourage clients to get in touch as soon as a query arises.
Too often businesses worry about seeking advice due to cost and wait until the year end accounts are completed, unfortunately this is usually some time after the event and that advice is too late to act on.
How They Work
We work out with our clients the services they need at present and over the coming twelve months. We then agree a fee to cover all the work and spread it equally, in monthly payments, over that same twelve months.
Each amount is invoiced on the 1st of the month and is payable in-line with our usual terms. We do provide and encourage payment by Direct Debit to ensure no breaks in service due to late payment.
Any additional or one-off pieces of work that arise during that period can be added, with any fee again agreed in advance.
Each year we review the proposal with our clients to ensure they are still receiving the most appropriate services.
In Practice
Working with us is a partnership, and therefore, since we’re giving you our expertise we request that we work on Direct Debit to ensure we can continue to deliver on what we’ve agreed.
Monthly invoices will be taken by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month.
Our services are completely monthly, and we have no tie-in so you can leave when you like. The only exception to that rule is accounts and tax returns. Whilst we work on preparation through the year, some of the work is completed at the year-end.
If that work is completed and you leave before working with us for at least 9 months, we’ll simply invoice for the difference on the accounts and tax work alone up to the equivalent of 9-months fee on that service. Any other service fees will stop.

We have three business reviews tailored to your business to provide you additional advice when you need it.

A strategy session held away from the office to help you focus on your business growth. This will be followed up with quarterly reviews to ensure you and your business are on track with growth.
